Wisdom for Mothers
Mothers’ Day serves as a good reminder to women of all ages to look inward to see what God sees when He looks at their heart. He has a lot to say in His Word about what we should think and what we should do. Look to see if any of these commands are a surprise to you.
· If possible, be at peace with everybody. Romans 12:18
· Do not judge another’s heart. Luke 6:37
· Never repay evil for evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:15
· Forgive others up to 70 times 7 when they sin against you so that the Lord will be able to forgive you. Matthew 6:14-15; 18:21-22
· Never take revenge, but leave room for the wrath of God to work. Romans 12:19
· Treat Others in just the same way that you want them to treat you. Luke 6:31
· A joyful heart is good medicine. But a broken spirit makes you sick. Proverbs 17:22
· It is better to live in the corner of a roof than in a house shared with a contentious woman. Proverbs 21:9
· Those who love pleasure will become poor. Proverbs 21:17
· Poverty and shame will come to those who neglect discipline. Proverbs 13:18
· Ask God for wisdom because it is more precious than gold or silver. Proverbs 3:13-14
· Don’t waste your time trying to get rich because money can disappear as if it has wings. Proverbs 23:4-5
· Do not be quarrelsome, but be kind to everyone. 2 Timothy 2:24
· Avoid hatred. It only stirs up strife. Proverbs 10:12
· The Lord detests lying lips. Proverbs 12:22
